Located in one of the sunniest recorded towns in Britain the Belmont is an imposing and unique Victorian building in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight which has been receiving guests since the late 1800’s and was built as a gentleman’s residence, The Belmont is well known for our warm welcome, friendly efficient service and the relaxing atmosphere which makes it an ideal spot from which to enjoy the Island.

The Belmont is run as a pet and child free environment.

Combining Victorian elegance with modern comforts, The Belmont is an independently owned and offers peace and tranquility with outstanding levels of Hospitality, Service, Comfort and a Fantastic Breakfast, in an excellent location along Queens Road, a few minutes from the Keats Green cliff path, and is central to Shanklin Old Village, town, beach, the Cliff top lift and is just a short walk from the bus and train station which makes the Belmont an excellent choice for your next Luxury holiday or break.

Our Rooms

Being a Victorian building, our accommodation comes in all different shapes and sizes, adding extra character, unlike a standard chain hotel. We offer a choice of Classic double bedded rooms or Luxury rooms that are for those wanting that little bit of extra space and indulgence with large rooms which either come as superking doubles or twins or our Luxury double bedded room on the top floor.

Facilities

The Belmont’s private facilities are only available for guests who are staying at the premises. Our sun-trap rear garden is ideal for relaxing in the afternoon sun, loungers, chairs and tables are available for use by the pool (open seasonally, weather dependant). Take advantage and enjoy our complimentary Dr Detox Sauna. The Bar is a great place to relax in the evening. The BT infinity fibre optic Wifi is completely free.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in our modern breakfast room which was originally built as the sun lounge and has an outlook over the rear garden. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Our large range of portion packs are our way of offering our guests their favourite cereals and preserves to compliment our vast array of choices. The Full English is freshly cooked to order.
