Terms & Conditions

The following terms form part of your contract with The Belmont:

Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is from 3 pm to 9pm unless otherwise agreed.
Check-out is by 10.30 am please, so that we can prepare rooms for new guests.

Smoking
Please note that it is illegal to smoke indoors. You may smoke on the veranda or in the garden (when open).

Children
Please note we only accept children over the age of 18 years. Id required.

Pets
We regret that pets cannot be accommodated. Guide or hearing dogs are welcome, of course.

Method of Payment
We are pleased to accept Sterling and Diners/Discover, Visa, Visa Debit, Maestro, Electron, Mastercard and Amex. A PIN is required for payments on the premises using UK Chip & PIN enabled cards.

Deposits
With all bookings we require a non-refundable deposit of the first nights stay.
Where bookings are made via an intermediary to which a commission or booking fee is paid, a separate deposit must be paid to us within 24 hours of our acknowledgement to you. Failure to do so will result in the room being released.

For stays of one night we require full non-refundable payment at the time of booking please.
Payment is due on departure for the balance of your holiday by Cash or Card.

Early departure/cancellation
If you depart early or you cancel or fail to honour this reservation for any reason, you will not receive any credit or refund.

Any amendments to a booking will carry a £10.00 administration fee.

Left property
A standard charge of £10.00 plus the cost of postage will be made for the return, on request, of property left at the hotel. This will be charged to a credit or debit card at the time of despatch. The hotel cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage in transit.

Property not claimed by the owner within two weeks of departure will be given to charity or destroyed.

Damage to hotel property
Guests causing damage to hotel property (including accidental damage) will be charged for its replacement or repair. The person making the booking will be deemed liable if the person causing the damage is unable to pay the charges.

Cancellation or Curtailment
We recommend that you consider insurance to cover eventualities such as personal emergencies and travel disruption; details of one policy can be found via www.guestfirst.co.uk or call 0845 90 80 101

In the event of cancellation or curtailment of your stay,
the person making the booking [ie the person paying the deposit] may be liable for charges depending on the notice given. No allowance can be made for meals booked but not taken.

Insurance can be got through World First.

Cancellation / curtailment charges are payable on the date a cancelled/ curtailed stay was due to start and are calculated as follows:
